Hey... I'll be in Montreal this coming AUGUST for a few days of work. I noticed that the Ottawa River isn't too far away. Would I be a fool not to take a personal day and check out the local musky action? Anyone out there willing to take me for a ride?? Any guide recommendations for this area? I'd hate to miss a good opportunity at some "eastern" ski!!!!

I was there in Feb. so no luck on hitting the muskies. But if there in Aug I would SURE take the time to do it! Oh, and check out the ballet....some of the best I have seen in a long time! And I have seen a few....just ask Slmr! A dollar goes a long way......

If you want to catch fish and big fish, see if Mike Lazarus is available...He's the best in the business, more 50's are caught by Mike in a year than most guides see in 5..I think his email is: [email protected]

Mike Lazarus probably isn't available.  He's booked pretty solid by repeat clients.  He's booked already for the year.

But as far as Ottawa River muskie men....you got Rich Collins and Marc Thorpe.

By the way, check your inbox.

Jason to answer your question, yes you would be a fool not to take advantage of it. I would be willing to take you for a ride, Mike is booked up and not taking on new clients and Marc has a 3 day minimum.

There is no way you can be that close to muskie heaven and not try to fish it a day or two, especialy is your plane ride is already paid for by the company.
