Ok guys. I know this has been asked a million times. I did a search and found some good info.

I am looking between Sabaskong Bay Lodge, Hansens King Island Lodge, and Split Rock Lodge.

I want my girlfriend to experience her first musky trip and want to boat in to an island resort from Morson.

Looks like all 3 of these places are within a couple miles of each other. We only want a housekeeping plan option so Duck Bay Lodge isn't an option.

Also I want to be in this area and not further west over by Grassy Narrows. Rex Tolstons. Tamarack. Obobikan. Etc.

I've read good things about Sab Bay Lodge.

Any experiences and opinions on the 3 would be appreciated.

Also if I am missing any island resorts near those 3 please let me know.

Thanks - Midge

I have stayed at, and had good experiences several trips to Sabaskong Bay Lodge. Very friendly folks, accommodations are good, price is good, nice docks, and good fishing within sight of the resort.

Last year was my first trip to LOTW and I stayed at Hansons. I had a great week and the accommodations were nice. No gaint fish for me but another group of guys fishing that week caught a couple upper 40 inch fish. I will be going back again this summer and staying at Hansons.

Give Grassy Narrows Lodge a try. You wont be disappointed. It is only 12 miles from Morson. Have been there many times and never had a bad experience. It is a area fished mainly by Walleye fisherman so you wont have to compete for a good spot to fish for Muskie. The accommodations are top notch from the cabins to the meals. They will bend over backwards to make sure your trip is everything you want.Check out their website at grassynarrowslodge.com. Also watch episode 39 and 40 of John Gillespie Water and Woods filmed right at the lodge and you will see how great the place is and how great the fishing is.

We have stayed at Split Rock since early 90's. Great location. Great people. Reasonable prices. Be back in October.

I stayed at Split Rock once. Great location and nice cabins. I caught my PB about 50 yards from the island
