Location: Culloden, WV | Are you foiling the bait then epoxy and cure, then paint, epoxy again Is that your process? I was thinking if could you could do a third epoxy coat and hang the detail part in between 2nd and top coat

Location: Moses Lake, WA | This wood bait was sealed with conventional sealer, heated in an oven to around 250F, resealed and then reheated to drive out any excess sealing fluid. Then the bait was overcoated with epoxy as an additional sealant, siding glued on with 5 minute epoxy, siding edges sanded smooth, and siding brushed with transparent yellow lacquer. Another epoxy layer for leveling the corrugations in the siding, then top and bottom are spray brushed, epoxied, then gills painted and bars and then one final epoxy layer. Tedious but simple. |
