Location: Des Moines IA | Did some searching didn't find much within the last year on Tranx line choices. Have been out of the line market for a while. What is everyone using for the Tranx/ Pounder combo as far as line these days? Thanks, Michael |

Location: Des Moines IA | Had to order the HG direct from Japan, but I got one. Came across a 500 yard spool of 80 lb Spiderwire, so I went with that. Must say the combination of the Custom Calstar Frank rod and the HG are simply amazing. |

Location: St Paul, Minnesota | I run 100lb PowerPro. It takes a little bit of breaking in, but it works great. Though I wouldn't say I'm a die-hard loyalist... I switched away from Spiderwire after having some breakoffs and excessive birds-nests (though most instances were likely operator error), and haven't ever felt the need to stray. It's readily available around the metro to be spooled on for you at the local baitshops (Thorne Bros, Joe's, etc).

Location: S.W. WI | I too prefer 100 lb Power Pro. I get less backlashes from 100 since I tend to overcast always. Big bucks and Big rubber rods have 100/lb on for me. Apparently I try to empty the reel when casting, and 100lb keeps my backlashes to almost none with a Tranx. Never an issue with PP. |
