When guys are painting custom color Husky jerks or Flicker shad baits ,my guess is they are painting over factory colors? Do they have any special prep work to do before painting? Or can the airbrush directly over old color? Thinking of trying this myself, any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks for helping out a newbie painter walleye guy

I use 150/220 sanding blocks Rustolium universal bonding primer you can pick up both at hd rough up the lure and spray
