Just got a gallon of the gloss version and tried a few lures. It cures quickly in the sun but i have found that it sheets a bit giving a bit of a wavy texture. I put them on a turner prior to putting in the sun to cure.

Any suggestions on how to get a smoother coat?

Don't put them on the turner. It forms a skin coat and is still fluid under the surface and that makes the finish wavy. Just hang them and let the access drip off the tail. Then let them cure. Might have to do a few coats. Try that and see how it goes.

Just let a bit more run off the bait before you put it on your turner...It won't start setting up until it is exposed to uv light..Nathan
