Subject: MinnKota I-Pilot Remote Repair

I have an I-Pilot remote where one of the buttons gets stuck and basically drains a new battery overnight. I have taken the cover off and if I depress the electronic tab it tends to stick.

The unit is out of warranty (2yrs) and MinnKota said my only option is to buy a new remote. Anyone had an electronic repair person tinker with their remote? I figured it'd be worth a shot versus buying a new remote. If there is a recommendation of anyone out there please share.
