From Hayward Bait's facebook page:

Fishing Report for December 22, 2015:

We are hearing reports of smaller lakes freezing over, with 2-5 inches of ice on the lakes and in back bays. Reports are people are fishing in back bays on Nelson Lake, Spider Lake, and Lake Hayward. If you venture out, be sure to test the ice frequently and fish with a friend. Make sure you tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back. Be very cautious out there!
