I have had the chance to check out these rods at Smokeys Muskie Shop and can't say enough about them. The weight of these rods can't be explained, you just got to hold and use one to believe it. The cork handles are bigger and long enough to get extra leverage when needed.
These rods are going to be one of the hottest sticks to hit the market. I still can't choose which rods I will buy, they all have such good qualities. (Like I need some new rods) But, my clients will love them.
You can check out the full line of Fig-Rig rods on line at http://www.smokeysmuskieshop.com or stop in and see them. You will be amazed when you get your hands on one. So far they have a great selection to choose from.
Anyone else have any imput on these new rods?

I picked up the 8' med. hvy. a week ago and was really impressed. I threw 10" Jakes and was able to make 'em spaz. The rod is a brute stick, perfect for big baits and long hooksets.I will also use this rod with large spinnerbaits that have a lot of drag in a figure 8. The rod will not/does not have a lot of bend in the 8 which equates to more and better control. I'm not giving up my TB's but this stick has found a home.Check 'em out. Steve

Mike,

I've been fishing them for 2 years now and when I told people how good they are and that nothing else compares I always got that deer in the headlights look, "how can they be so..much better"...Until you've fished with one and faught a few fish with them you'll never know...

I agree with ya man, they are some of the sweetest sticks out there.

Kevin Figgins doesn't need a pro-staff with guys like you and I out there raving about his products...hehe

Am I the only one who likes a heavier rod. I tried a buddy of mines fig rig. Way to light for me. If you like lighter rods, this is the rod for you.

Just got my first Fig Rig rod this winter. I decided to go with the 6'10" heavy jerk bait rod. I absolutely love this rod. It is so light and you can throw anything from Mag Dawgs to smaller twich baits. Doesn't wear you out and great back-bone for hooksets. I highly reccomend Fig Rigs.

Just ordered the 7'6" Spinning rod for jigs. Should have it in my hot little hands today. Will let you know how it goes but from what I found in the stores should be a great stick.

Thanks for the tip Mr. Hintz.

Its a sweet rod Scott. I don't think I could have found another rod that I would like better for jigs. Matched with a 4000 series Symetre from
Shimano with 6.0:1 gear ratio, I won't be leaving home without it. The only problem I have found (not really a problem), is there is tiny bits of paint coming off of the guide feet, and various other places on the rod. I have only had it on two outings and I baby all of my equipment, so it can't be from abuse. Anyone else see this on Fig Rigs? Other wise, I'm thinking I'm buying Figs from now on.
