Posts: 1080 | Let me preface this before I ask the question. I remember back in the day of the Generation X soft plastics melting other plastics when stored with non-Gen X plastics. I never mix my plastics. I don't even have, nor did I ever have, any of the Gen X plastics. I keep Bull Dawgs with Bull Dawgs, I keep T.I. Mega and Super Ds stored together and then I keep my Medussas stored together...all in separate boxes...again...like baits, with like baits. Now for my question: Why is it, that the Medussas that I have are all becoming extremely "sticky?" (all sick jokes aside) As if they're melting...yet...they are not showing any signs of melting. Is this something that has been discussed before and I've just missed it throughout the years? Is this something to do with the traits of an older or newer plastic for the Medussas? Even after throwing the Medussas and giving them some water time....they're sticky. I honestly don't care if they're sticky...as long as they aren't melting and doing harm to each other. If this is just one of the traits of that bait with those plastics and this is deemed to be normal...then I'm fine with that. But if these things are having a reaction to each other and the plastics are starting to break-down and melt and I need to be doing something different with how I store them...then I'll make the necessary change to protect the bait to prolong their life-span. I just need to know what's what. Storage? I store my Dawgs, Mega-Ds and Medussas all in clear, Plano boxes without the dividers. Can't remember the exact number of the box. You know the ones I'm talking about.

Posts: 1080 | I couldn't care less about colors bleeding into another bait. Just wondering why these baits seem to be so sticky? None of the Dawgs I've had for years nor any of the T.I. Mega-Ds that I've had for years are sticky when stored together. Why the Medussas? What's different? What causes that? Just curious...that's all...

Posts: 1283 | I know what you mean. Only time I it bothers me is when they touch bucktail and spinner bait skirts and stick. The older ones don't have that sticky feel..

Posts: 241 | Great question. Red October Tubes are doing the same thing. I'm fairly certain that it is the brown, white, and black colors. I store them all sorted by color. I was told that certain colors will "play nice", while others will bleed. Why did they develop that sticky feel? Backdraft
