| Not sure if there is all ready a thread in this but does any one troll rubber with any success? If so what's your favorite bait to do it with. |

| That is good question. I haven't trolled with rubber either but I have thought about it. I was afraid that it damage the tails. |

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | I was recently asked about this by a client and never realized how productive this has been for me. It hasn't been a ton of fish so it never really seemed important to spend much time until I realized how few hours I've spent trolling dawgs. Over the last five years I've only done this for 12-15 hours but have caught at least ten fish maybe a few more. Ten fish in five years, not a big deal... ten fish in 12-15 hours - big deal.
I've caught them both holding the rod and with the rod in a rod holder. Best speed seems to be running 2 - 2.5 using the bow mount. I have tried imparting action and just letting them swim and have only caught a couple while working them as if I was casting, fish seem to like them swimming straight. Distance back has been about 40 - 60', since I'm never pulling out the line counters to troll I can't give an exact distance. |

| If I recall correctly----I believe the Indiana State record was caught trolling a DAWG behind a dipsey diver -- or so the story went!--SN |

Location: Elroy, Wisconsin | Works well, better with a in line spinner in front, about #8 colrado is about right. Caught several the last two years....2 1/2 to 3 mph works well.
