| I have been using some Tackle Industries Prototypes all year. For trolling, casting and suckers. The sizes James came out with are 9'6 10' and 10'6. I have used them with clients as well as myself. No issues of breaks at all. I know he had a waiting list but will be fully stocked for the show season. The funny thing is I liked them so much all I fish with now is the 10'6 xh and xxh. He has split or full grip, and telescopic. www.tackleindustries.com

| I have to agree with calcutta gold. The new TI rods are they way to go for a long xh or xxh. I have built 4 of the 10'6" xxh and one of the 9'6" xxh for myself and friends. We all love them, and more times than not pick up these rods first on any given time on the water. |

| If you want the best get a Predator from Thornes, get the exact grip style and length that you want and the performance that most of the top pros demand.

Location: Central IA | Picked up a Tooth Tamer from Steve at Spring Bay while at the Summer Muskie first outing and really really like it. Great balance and the fit and finish is outstanding.

I like ThornBros rods talk to Lonnie tell him what you like the to be used for and let him build you a rod of your dreams predator rods are the best blank you can buy. I have 3 a 9 foot heavy a 9 foot 8 inch x heavy and a 9 foot 8 inch XX Heavy . If you are planning on using it buck tails have him take 2 inches off the tip. I like my heavy rod great for 8s but it's a little light in the tip for 10s .when I build my next one it will have 2 inches off the tip . |

You can find longer 1pc rods vs a 9' but the shipping is about $80 just to ship. If money is not an issue, email and chat wtih Jeremy at Tuscarora Tackle. He can build you any rod you want. He has all of the Tackle Industries blanks as well as a few really high end St Croix blanks he can build on for 9'+ rods. He will not disappoint. If you want a long rod under $200 take a look at a TI 96, 10, or 106 tele rod. We have had no issues on the rods collapsing and the action is nearly identical to the 1pc TI models. If you are going to a musky show this year I am sure you can find a booth (or the TI booth) with some of the new long rods to take a look at.
