Location: Otsego, MN | So I had previously owned a 2008 Sierra. My truck had a 2" drop on the hitch. I now purchased a new F150. This truck seems a bit higher. So you think a 2" drop is still fine? Or would I need a 3" or 4" drop. So I'm curious to know I guess what drop you guys have On your hitch on a F150? The boat is a ranger. |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | I have to have a 5" drop on my ram 1500 for the trailer to be level. I have towed many boats up to 22' and that has been pretty level. This truck doesn't squat very much compared to others I have owned. 38' 10,000 lb triple axle enclosed trailer only dropped the hitch 1.25". |

| Measure the height of your trailer's frame with it level and even front to rear. That is how high your ball should be from the ground as the bit of sag when loaded will give a slightly tongue heavy setup which is what you want. Your trailer will sit level if everything is the right height. |

I also have a Ranger 620 with a tandem Ranger Trail trailer.

That helps I have basically the same truck same wheels. Exactly what I bought yesterday a 4" drop. Just have not had time to hitch the boat on yet.

Location: Spencer, Wisconsin | Just bought a new 2015 Dodge Ram this summer and with my old truck Silverado Z71 the drop was 2" compared to my new truck which is a 4" drop to get the boat level. Does not move a bit with the boat weight which is nice to predict bumps and dips in the road. I would agree with bturg's view point, to measure your drop and the height of the boat to get it level is probably the best rather than buying several hitches with different drops. Good luck
