How has that constant north wind been affecting fishing? Looking to head up and fish this Thursday and Friday.

I am also wondering if all the wind has made the lake tough because of the water conditions. The satellite images from a few days ago look like the water was pretty turned up then and the winds have only been stronger the last few days. Any info is appreciated.

Saw someone by the name of tom noonan post on Facebook about a Biggun they caught. TTS If that's you, nice job! Looks like some other people had some luck as well, so the fish are definitely biting.

This happens every year around the same time. It makes things tricky for trolling, lots of floating debris ect. While it does make fish more difficult to catch you can still catch them. The good thing about wind is it creates some nice current in areas that you wouldn't normally find it. When it comes down to numbers I see a decrease in fish caught for a week or 2 after the "week of the winds". The PMTT results from a few years back (skunked) would also suggest this.

Fished on Friday, weeds were bad out of Suamico. Walleye fisherman said it was pretty bad up at Oconto too. Found some places where I could run baits. (the further north the better) but now since it blew out of the SSW for 3 days???
Still 0 for Green Bay

Went out with Capt Nolan of Top Gun...let me tell you something he is by far and away the best guide I have ever met in my life. I boated a 51.5x25 (no tail pinch)

I have to ask what makes you say Nolan Koepp is the best guide you ever hired? I do know he is very successful getting his clients fish and big fish too. But what from your experience leads you to say he is the best guide you ever hired?

Just take a look at his site. Or just see how many 50 + he has boated this season in comparison. From my experience I'd say he is the best because of his work ethic. The man never stopped moving. It was just sit back and troll, the man is a machine. He was always tweaking something to figure out a pattern. Most guides I have taken out have just sat back and trolled, cleaned the lines every few minutes and that was that.
