My buddy bought an old Dodge truck on Ebay that is located in Bessemer, MI and he's planning on picking it up sometime in the next couple of weeks. He said that if I would go with him, he would foot the bill for a couple of days of guided musky fishing. We will be driving from Missouri, looks like a lot of the drive is on I-39. Having never been in the area I would love some suggestions as to which body of water we should consider and also any recommended guides for said body of water. Thanks in advance for all the great suggestions that this board is sure to supply!

I second Jeff, if hes available. The problem you may run into is who has openings. Lots of great water to fish up there.

The two i would recommend might both be booked but it's worth a shot ... Jeff VanRemortal who was already mentioned and then Rob Manthei. I'd consider these guys the best but their availability is what it is as a result too. Good Luck ...!!

Thanks guys, looks like Jeff switches over to only doing duck hunts in October, but I'll contact both just in case. Even if I can't find a guide, I'm sure I can find a few tackle shops to spend some money at.

If all else fails give the musky shop a call, they may be able to direct you to some folks who may have openings.
