| I have a tyrant tackle lola bait that has worked great this summer, but the blades are weak and I am constantly having to rebend the blade in order to get the right sound/splash, they bend just from casting when the bait hits the water. Any other similar baits made with double spinners that are made with heavier metal that won't bend on the cast?
I see the musky buster lowrider looks similar but are the blades stronger? |

| Lola was made during a transition for Musky Buster. It is the prototype for a plastic lowrider. It is literally based directly off the lowrider using thinner blades and lighter wire. The new (current) ownership of Musky Buster has gone to great lengths to make the original lowrider even more durable! |

I used lowriders, topwalkers, etc in the mid 2000s. I liked the action on them, but they were not at all durable if you were going to cast them for hours on end. I caught fish on them but got tired of nursing them along to keep them running, and basically wrote them off and moved on to other top-water makers. Interesting to hear they've been beefed up, maybe I should have another look. |

| picked up a dirty bird and a lowrider
the dirty bird works great, seems super tough and has actually caught some fish
the lowrider blades seem good, haven't had to retune much, but the paint is all coming off and it hasn't caught a fish or hit any rocks, looks like the primer just didn't adhere properly to the wood. I realize the color may not make a lot of difference but this lure will likely be tan before long |
