| Lucky you! Here is some stuff I look for and have done well on this time of the year in the Northwest Angle. It's not much, but hopefully it helps. I have not been there this season and I'm sure thing are different...
I like fishing south facing shorelines before the big, fall cool down. Broken rock shorelines outside of bays and steep shorelines near deep, open water can be great spots this time of year. Fish will usually be up shallow and tight to boulders when weather is consistent. Some fish will be deeper and relate to steep breaks during a cold front. Areas around the southern part of Falcon Island and Deepwater Bay are two of my favorite spots to fish in the Northwest Angle. I also like fishing just south of Portage Bay.
I have also caught fish trolling this time of the year. Neckdown areas with current and off steep drop off's around main lake points is where I caught fish. Baitfish was always present. The Kennedy Island area is my favorite area to troll.
Big crankbaits like the Bucher Shallow Raider, Musky Armor Krave, and Lucky Craft Flashminnow, Jerkbaits like a Danny Bait or Suick, and big plastics like a Pounder Bulldawg are some of my favorite lures this time of the year in the Northwest Angle.
I'm sure others fish differently and can chim in on what works best and where they find fish, too. Good luck! Please, let us know how you do. Feel free to message me. I don't have a map with me at the moment, but I can suggest some areas to try.
