I'm looking for some crankbaits that will work well for fishing over the top of weeds and at night

some characteristics i think would be important are
- be able to be counted down and then maintain that depth while reeled in/ripped. - needs to put off a lot of sound/vibration

alternatively maybe one thats a floater and then swims down a couple feet when reeled in and maintains that depth

any ideas folks?

Take a looks at Big Game, the 'shallow" version are good on the shallow weeds. For example the 8"...otherwise the 9" jointed model works well too for a bit more action/sound.

My favorites are crane baits (when you can find them) and SS Shads. Both run very shallow, great action and easy to work in water where weeds are 1 to 2 feet below the water line.
