Location: MN | So I put my first reef hawg on today 8". My question is do they normally sit almost straight up and down. Mine looks like a pencil bobber just the tip of the nose out of the water a quick pull sends it diving down. Still trying to figure out the best way to work it. Seems at times on long pulls it goes to the side a bit but will Also swing around and face the other way. Any feedback I'd helpful. |

| One thing they are not is a side to side jerkbait with predictable action. I call them a tap bait, best used with a series of taps of varying force and frequency mixed in with pulls and jerks...mix it up and you get erratic action along a fairly straight "lane". If you want monotone L-R-L-R side to side action, get something else . This is an underused but effective bait in my view. Those that float generally nose-up are usually golden I think. That "reverse move' can be remarkable at times, I have one that does this and it is an excellent bait. Lock it up when not in use. |

Location: MN | Thanks guys. I got lost working it because it was just doing crazy stuff up down side to side, kicking hard left every so often. I think I really dig this one the back is splitting but I don't care. My other one is different each seams to be its own animal. Which is kind of fun. |
