I have 2 Toro Beast 60s one 4.9 one HS and a S 60 on the way. The rods are a Big Nasty split, Big Nasty fullgrip, Sling Blade split and a Big Dawg full. What rod would you pair up with each reel. The one thing I rarely throw are pounders so leave those out of the equation. I have a plan but curious what you guys would do.

I'm real curious how the HS pulls 10's.

You could always try them on different rods and switch them around yourself, and see what YOU think works best. Its OK to do that without the internets blessing.

Beast HS on Big Nasty split grip

Beast 4.9 on Big Dawg

Toro S on the sling blade.

Then I'd fish with them once and change my mind.

The HS can burn 10s but takes serious effort with the paddle handle on. I would not say it pulls in 10s much if any easier then a NACL HS but it is faster. Awesome for burning 8s. When fishing rubber it takes up slack line like you think a reel should. Almost too fast for top water IMO. I have switched to the balanced power handle to see if that helps with 10s but I have my doubts since its not any longer then the paddle. The Jigging handle will give you some serious length and cranking power so Ill try that last. With the size of the gears I do not see durability being an issue.

My rod reel combo plan at the moment is.
60 HS on the Nasty full grip for ripping rubber and burning blades when needed.
60 4.9 on the Nasty split grip for blades most the time and top water
60 S on the Sling Blade for an all around combo. (basically loaner for the GF to use)
Dont think Ill use the Big Dawg since the Nasty can throw mag rubber fine.

Just curious why would you put the 4.9 on the big rubber rod? Seems to me if anything the HS would be the best fit followed by the S. Rubber doesn't take much effort to reel in and the faster ratios pick up slack line much better.

Not entirely sure why you blow $1000 on reels and not have a setup in mind...

Sorry, no comments on which reels to use for what rods, but I could see the HS going on a rod for double 10's if you find a handle that makes it work out well.

Please keep us informed on what you think of the Beast HS for 10's once you try the two power handles. A few inquiring minds are very curious about this.

Jigging power handle made all the difference on the HS. You can burn 10s all day if you're up to it. With that said the 4.9 is easier stupid fast can blow 9s out and better for top water. So you got a great Bucktail and top water reel and a great burning and rubber reel. They are much better than the Nacl and loved those.

When you say burn 10's all day if your up to it. Does that mean it tires you out?

Anyone tossin 10s knows its no walk in the park on any reel. This was the easiest I've used.

This is how much effort it takes to blow them out with the 4.9 and the balanced handle. The HS will do it much easier. Sorry for the crappy vid, Its my phone on a pedestal seat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGGdB9685xQ

I used a 700te for the first time last weekend with 10's and I could reel as fast as I wanted with ease over a 10 hr day.

You could do the same with the 4.9 or HS. It takes 2 fingers to reel in a 10 with the HS and power handle on. If you really wanna blow them out you can even with the 4.9.

I put the 4.9 on thinking that it would be best for very large crankbaits or blades. I like a stiff rod in the figure 8
