Posts: 200 Location: Twin Cities | Going up to the big V for a week, curious if anyone has recommendations on color, baits, techniques. Just realized I posted this in the wrong section, please move it to destinations. Edited by pistolpete314 9/22/2015 7:42 AM

Posts: 1220 | People say this water looks a lot like, and fishes a lot like LOTW (except for all the homes) I guess I sort of agree. It certainly is a place where you could lose your lower unit pretty easy. The trouble is clearly marked on your lake chip, but you really have to pay close attention and have the size magnified to show the x's. I'd also say the one bouy they place on a reef IN NO WAY gives you an idea how big the danger area is. Give them a really wide bearth.

Posts: 69 Location: Pine River MN. | I spent sept 10-14 at Polly's resort. We didn't see anything. We stopped in at Vermilion dam lodge and they told they were having luck over in Big Bay. Unfortunately the wind was really blowing and we couldnt get over there. Good luck

Was there in August 90% of the fish we encountered were on windy days on big bay using shallow medussas and shallow pounders.

Posts: 69 Location: Pine River MN. | We couldn't find much for muskie tackel in either Cook or Tower. I'd pick anything you need before you go. Edited by malenurse 9/23/2015 7:38 AM
