Hi, When you are in the back of the boat, what do you throw when the guy in the front is throwing: a. a bucktail b. a loud topwater bait c. a suick Thanks El Gordo

Posts: 5874 | Gordo, Depending on conditions, this is what I'll throw. 1. Jerk Baits, not in any particular order. Suick, Reef Hawg, Undertaker, Slammer DB 2. Crankbait or Twitch bait 3. I don't let the guy in front throw a Suick! hehehe But if he was, I'd probably throw a bucktail, or a twitch bait.

Posts: 3910 | Doesn't matter much, I change my bait A LOT. But I'll usually not throw what my partner is throwing unless s/he's hit on a hot pattern.

Posts: 2361 | You didn't specify what kind of water, or water conditions, tends to make a big difference. The only limiting factor I see with the front guys bait is, if he is working a search pattern with a fast bait, sometimes you will be moving too fast to work a slow bait in the second positon, ie a hawg wobbler.

Posts: 1335 Location: Chicago, Beverly | I throw what I want when in the back. I try not to throw the same as the guy in front unless, as someone else said, that is what's working real good. As for luck front vs. back? I don't think it matters. I've raised and caught as many from the front as the back.

Posts: 1185 Location: Wishin I Was Fishin' | Sometimes I put on the bait that the other guy took off. It's pretty fun if you get some action! However, I usually don't change baits much, unless I'm in demo mode.

Posts: 51 Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | I usually just throw a fit. I don't care what he throws as long he picks a side to throw it on and doesn't try to cover every last fricking piece of water so that I am nothing more than someone to talk to while he fishes.
