I made a video of some of the musky fishing I did this summer. It was pretty amazing in terms of jigging. Most of my trips were only 2 hours long and I only got skunked once. Awesome summer. Check it out!

Nice job, know that area and kudos to your partner making the fashion statement with plaid pajamas.

I love seeing how others use lures.. I've been dying to put one in the bag on an original Bondy. I've had some thunderous strikes on them, but haven't been able to close the deal.

Nice Vid!

What is the power/action of the rod that you are using? I prefer using a 8' or 8.5' heavy power with a fast action for jigging Bondys. When I've used my XH rods I lost too many fish because the stiffer rod pulls the hooks out of their mouths.

It varies, but generally a 9' XH with fast action..

PBenson, did you try many other presentations or just jigging? Looks like you had a good season, just curious how the jigging compared to other presentations if you tried any.

Great job! Soon that specific area will be swamped with anglers and big fish. Your gonna need a much bigger net, get in line and hold on....

I tried casting a few times earlier in the summer but didn't have much luck. The lake is much better for casting and trolling in the summer. Jigging has always produced the most strikes for me on the river. However once fall comes around either works great.

Ugh I know it's a going to be a zoo soon. I have a buddy that usually bring his Frabill Big Kahuna net for the fall bite, I don't think I'll fish alone when I'm chasing the October/November giants.
