| Looking to add electronics to my boat on a budget. Curious whether anyone's been running Helix units and their experiences with them. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | habe a 5 SI and like it real well. Have to learn how to use it, and worth the learning curve. |

Location: Sawyer County, WI | I'm running a Helix 5 on my tin boat and like it. I wish I had waited a bit as I would have gotten a 7 but the 5 is working well for me. |

| I just installed a Helix 7, in love with it. Like others said, now I have to learn to use it. |

| I just added a Helix 5 to the bow and really like it. I like the sonar/DI more then my Elite 5, but from any distance the Elite GPS is easier to read. I prob just need to get used to the water not actually being blue on the Helix |

Location: Waukesha, WI, USA | Buddy is sponsored and had one installed. Very crisp picture. I'd call it one of their entry level units without some of the bells and whistles you get at twice the money. Putting it on a trolling motor would be very adequate. For Muskie or bass fishing it would be fine. If you are a structure fisherman looking for suspended fish or depend on side imaging allot I'd spend a little more. |

| FYI. HB is going to be dropping the x99 series and introducing the helix as its replacement in sizes up to 12". I saw this on the HB SI Site. Prices are projected to be very good. That may explain why I am seeing some killer x99 deals her in Canada lately. I saw brand new 1199 u its on sale last week for 1499$ CDn. It was insane. They r regular $3000 here.
