Anyone know the current water clarity and water temp? We made a trip there at the end of June and the bug hatch was unreal. All the water is sucked out of our lakes at the moment and we're thinking about hitting Spirit this weekend. Is it as busy as Okaboji on holidays or do the party boats stick mainly to Okaboji and fishing boats to Spirit?

Last time i was out on Spirit was July, it was fairly green then. It will be busy if the weather is nice this weekend, but not as bad as east/west okoboji.

If you did want to try West O, it will probably be fishable until about 9:30-10am, but gonna be pretty busy after that. From what i've heard it's been slow all around here. I haven't been out for muskies in a while tho.
