Location: MN | Is anyone using these? If so how do you like them? I like the fact that they are made in WI my home state. I pick one up at the store every time but chicken out, because it makes too much sense not to deal with bent wires. But I also worry about blades tangling over the cable or my leader. |

Location: Maryland | I've uses the Model 1 and Model 3. Both were easy to get started n ran flawlessly. Never had ne action on them but really didn't give them alot of time.i don't throw blades a bunch mainly jerkbaits/gliders. |

Location: Detroit River | I bought one at a musky show about 4 or 5 years ago. I had problems with getting the blades to start spinning, which I believe was due to the flexing of the cable. I ended up rebuilding it with a straight wire shaft. Lapper Lures makes a similar buck tail but there's is a short solid wire shaft for the blades & the skirt is on the flexible cable so there's no issues with the blades spinning. |

| I also typically throw jerks/gliders so I don't have much experience with blades. I have a small one that I use for pike, it might be a size 6 or 7. I have had tons of action with it using it for pike. I have missed a few fish with it but I have a feeling it was the attitude of the fish more than an issue with the bait. The blades start really easy for me. I may be picking up another eventually. |

| I enjoy throwing mine as the blades always spin instantly for me and provide a fairly easy pull. However the one I have only has 1 hook in the back so I stick to throwing other bucktails with 2. |

| I actually like only having one hook. I always remove the top hook on my dbl 9 and 10's. Haven't lost a fish yet due to not having that 2nd hook there. It makes it safer and easier to unhook the fish plus most bucktail bites (for me anyway) either nip the back of the bait or inhale it from behind. Also the bait doesn't get tangled as much without the top hook |

| I've been using the Muskie Metal bucktails almost exclusively for the last several years and I have nothing but good things to say about them. All I do is shrink tube the back hook and add an extra hook....pretty simple to do and they are less $ than everything else, and they don't bend. The blades start instantly for me. Last year on Leech I stuck 6 fish in 8 hrs on leech, 3 of them were within 45 minutes. It was pretty nice not having to bend the bait back into shape. |
