Location: Parts unknown | I'm interested in when the freeze up and cisco spawn is in the fall. I've been taking trips to Mille lacs the last few years in november, one year we timed it just about perfect and last year we were off. Fished a week straight never seen a fish and only heard of one fish being caught in the time we were there. Any insite into what to expect on Vermillion during the second week in november |

Location: minocqua, wi. | we go for the last moon and it's a crap shoot on whether you will run into snow or ice up conditions. we go anyway and have run into everything mother nature can throw at you. it's a stupid trip that can be stupid good. many times we either leave with ice in the mirror behind us or get blocked by a day ... but it's become an annual trip i look forward to. |

| And bring the shotgun,,,,so many times I've brought guys grouse hunting because I brought an extra gun and talked them out of a day fishing V and coming with. Every time they NEVER picked up a rod the rest of the trip. I had a guy come with who was a hard core muskie guy who never hunted. Grouse,,by the end of the day he said " right now I think I'd trade my ranger for a nice 20 gauge"
The perfect fall V trip- grouse hunting in the mourning (which will.most likely turn into all day) and muskie fishing in the afternoon after the sun has warmed the water, and then a bamboozler at the vermilion club,,,perfect V getaway. |
