Location: Eastern Ontario | Is it possible to get decent quality stills from Go Pro video. I used the sniping tool and got postage stamp stills that were blocky if I tried to enlarge

Posts: 32892 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Most video editing programs have a frame capture feature, several I am familiar with you simply click a small camera icon which will capture the frame sized same as the frame in the video window. This one is from a Blusmart Camera test I did tonight set at 720P 60fps...pretty nice camera for $65. Attachments ---------------- 07080001.MOV.Still001.bmp (675KB - 390 downloads)

Posts: 251 | The hero 4 has a photo mode and that is pretty good but you will not be able to adjust for exposure, zoom, ect. The quality is good as long as you shoot a picture in good lighting (not into the sun or at night, etc.).

Posts: 427 Location: Planet Meltdown | With the Gopro studio software you can export stills from your video. It's pretty cool as you can pause the video, and click through each frame to get the one you want before you export it. Great action shots but like others said, the quality will not be as good as a photo taken in photo mode.

Posts: 32892 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The quality of the frame you choose will be the same as the video you chose it from, so if you are recording in 720p it will be 1280x720, and so on.
