I know the Calcutta TE is not made anymore but I have only heard great things about them and I really like the one I have. It also appears the Conquest has taken its place but other than appearance and being really pricey I haven't been able to determine what is the difference or is anything different on a Conquest?

Does anyone know if there is a difference and what it is?

Thanks and Have a Great day

Quite a bit different and all good. Tough to improve on the TE but they have. Its the best reel out there. gearing, thumb button, diameter of the frame and internals have changed.

I've got both TE and conquest. Same reel with the conquest having a little more craftsmanship. I think bearing count is the same. These are the previous generation calcuttas.

The new conquest is built on the same frame size as the 400D. Disengaging levelwind, full length thumb bar.

The new conquest is a really neat reel, but more made for smaller baits. The older conquest and TE are geared towards traditional musky size baits.
