| My Mom taught me how to fish when I was younger, she took me up to Allequash lake every year for 1 week for 8 consecutive summers about 15-20 years ago. It was her dads favorite lake, and he taught her how to fish. My Grandpa passed away about 20 years ago and in his memory she took me up there, and taught me what enjoying a week on the water really meant; its not about the fish you catch but the people you enjoy it with. I am from Green Bay and do most of fishing around the area, the last 7 years I have become a MUSKIE NUT like most on this site, and due to my addiction, I lost track of truly enjoying fishing, So low and behold, I am taking my mom up to Allequash Lake on July 24,25,26th. Plan on doing most panfishing, bass, pike, but I know she would be able to handle a little topwater casting!! ( She is used to a Zebco Button) but I am sure she will be a nature with a muskie baitcaster. From the best of my knowledge the rice area south is rowing only and is shallow and weedy, but the north end is deep and has an island? of course I will do more research myself before hand, but reaching out to other fellow nuts that may be able to curve me on a straighter path to putting her on her first ever muskie!
