Posts: 300 | I've had success with depthraiders and modified 8"Jakes. Just curious about other options or favorites.

Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | My wife used a jointed Krisco a lot last year on LOTW. It did a great job of banging rocks without getting hung up, and raised a lot of fish. Didn't get a lot of takers, but it had a lot of interest, and was effective at working through rock. I picked it up a couple times when she took a break from it, and liked how it fished and caught a pretty good pike on it.

Posts: 300 | The Jakes are slightly weighted. They actually suspend instead of rising quickly. The Jake takes on a whole new personality.

Posts: 118 | I had a gentleman that works at a resort on LOTW tell me last year that if he could throw one bait all the time it would be a perch colored jointed X-Rap. Needless to say, I have a few ready for this September.

Posts: 39 Location: Cave In Rock Illinois | Crane baits are my go to baits, but the clear lexan lips will break quicker than just about any other crank!

Posts: 300 | Cranes are one of my go-to's around weeds, but I'm not sure I'd want to be banging them down the rocks. It also doesn't help that Cranes are getting harder to come by. I think I'm going to look into some Slammers. I've heard good things about them.

Posts: 219 | Yep, true...sometimes things break. But I guess I 'bump' rocks... Ha! I also use the 7" Scuba.... trolled and twiched...very versitile; bigger, thicker lip too. The Big Game Surface twitcher (6" and 8") mimic the Crane Baits..with increased durtabillty... IMO.

I was about to say the same thing....I like Big Games, but they won't make it through an afternoon of fishing if you are truly banging rocks.
