| Ok, I slacked on my battery purchasing this year. I planned on buying them at Cabelas when they had a special for 20% off the other night. When I got to the batteries I wanted they were gone. They didn't even have three of the same kind of any battery. So, my only options is to go and buy 3 cheap wal mart Ever Start Marine batteries. Anyone have any suggestions. How cheap (as in quality) are these batteries? P.S. I'm Leaving Thursday night at 12...
Thanks,
MJB

Look up battery service corp in bensenville, il. They make good batteries and distribute them through marine dealers and tackle stores. They make one with a honking rating too, i think my battery weighed 75lbs and I could run my trolling motor for two days on it. |

Location: Plainfield IL | I agree with ToddM. I bought 2 scs225 Trojan batteries for my TM last year from Batt Service Corp. They are great. I will not use anything else. I think I picked them up for $75 each. I beleive they will drive the batts to your house!

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I have two 115 AMP Everstart Deep Cycles that are 3 years old and still going. They will be in the 1690 this year, and performed well last weekend. Maybe I am fortunate, but I have had no problems with that brand at all. Brite Start from Fleet Farm seems to be about the same. We have one for the Coleman Canoe that is going on it's 3rd or 4th season, too. |
