I am looking to get a new rod for suicks and other jerkbaits (maybe WTD topwater too). Right now I have a 9' TI rod that I love and would like to get another TI rod. Would the 7'6" be a good suick rod? What do you guys use?

I prefer a shorter rod with some tip give for the suicks. My favorit rod is a rod I busted and re-tipped so doesn't count. My number 2 is the TI, split grip telescopic med hvy. this has worked well with a lighter 80lb power pro.

8' Medium/Heavy Toothtamer works very well; very veristile. Good backbone to slide that suick thru those teeth and some flex to keep her pegged. If you choose to go longer, the 8'6" in heavy, or 8'6" or 9" in Extra heavy would be good choices.

Personally I run my suicks on the 8' Med Heavy. Reef hawgs/ Gliders too.

Elk River ER-1 1M80H. Long handle, fast tip but enough back bone for up to 10 oz lures. Fishes more like a 7' 8" rod because of the long handle. Very nice rod.

7'6" Thorne Bros. rod. Bucktail rod actually. Got 3 of 'em.

Had zero problems handling a big PB on a Suick last summer...

If money isn't an issue, St. Croix legend tournament- 6'9" classic jerk or 7'6" jerk. Nice rods!
