| I purchased a new to me Humminbird 1159 this offseason and I'm having a peculiar issue with it. When I power the unit off my track disappears. By contrast, my 999 at the console keeps the track recording until the unit runs out of memory or I clear the current track. For example, this morning I wanted to fish a reef that I'd fished yesterday too. The 999 clearly shows my track from yesterday on the reef. The 1159 has nothing, even though it was on the whole time I fished the reef yesterday. I'm sure it's a setting issue that I'm missing- any ideas? Thanks for the help! |

Location: Hudson,WI | Is it hooked up to I-link? Cause there seems to be all sorts of issues with certain units and the I-link? I'm not sure if the 1159 is part of that or not, but try disconnecting it from the I-link if you have it. Might also be time to call Johnson outdoors. |

| Yeah I am also not running I-Link. I'll give Humminbird a call this week, although I'm still hoping that it's a simple setting issue and someone on here can tell me what I am missing in the meantime! |

| Should have a track update setting in the navigation menu. Might have to be in advance mode. Hit menu button twice and go to navigation, then scroll down to track update. If you have a place you want to return to save the track, as a route. I'm using 997 and 858 models. |
