Need some advice......
What GROUP starting battery do my fellow 620 owners run ?
I assume most of you have either a 225 or 250 Merc or similar motor plus a minimum of 2 Lowrance/Humminbirds, and livewells etc.

Making my purchase tomorrow and would love some input.
THX.

31 AGM, I'd actually avoid Optima.

That's what I'd do. Make sure that Starting battery has at least 1000 MCA for that OptiMax.

Where do you find Interstate group 31 deep cycle batteries? I have never seen them listed on their site nor in any store.

31M-AGM

The Interstate Dual Purpose wet cell is Group 27 845MCA, so I while it likely wok on your big Opti, I wouldn't. The 31-AGM has 1190 MCA, and good reserve, so all three or 4 batteries could be that one model. The 34M AGM could also work for your cranking battery. S,maller than the 31-AGM.

If you live near Milwaukee, I suggest going to Remy Battery on 43rd and Lincoln. They have a good selection to choose from, prices are reasonable, and they are knowledgeable. They had a group 30 battery I put in my last boat when I got it. Performance of a 31, but the size of a 29. Not sure if they still carry that one or not. I believe it was a Johnson Controls made battery. I had great success with them.

There are plenty of choices out there. Most of them ae made by just a couple mfg's. Johnson Controls being one of them. Interstate, Northern, Exide, Trojan, Dekka, and more. All good batteries.

Went with the Group 31 Extreme Series Odyssey Battery.

I think this bad boy should do the trick.
