Is there a bench seat out there that when folded down is a casting deck?

My quick search came up empty but I would look at the saltwater flats boat manufacurers for a setup like this. I have seen them on flats boats. One other thing they commonly do is just use a snap on cushon ON the casting deck, sometimes with a removeable backrest.

Crestliner has their conversion stern bench in the sportfish model. Not sure what other models, if any, you can get it in.

Crestliner has it as a option on their fishhawk series as well.

I had the rear conversion bench added as an option on my new Alumacraft. Mostly to have a bigger platform for my dad. But the added seating is nice too if I ever need it.

I saw a mirrocraft a couple years ago at the sport show......the rear seat flipped forward and it turned into a pretty darn big casting deck...I was impressed....dual impact fish-ski I think.....and I thought they were priced right for the amount of boat you got.....made in wisconsin

Nice work Mike! Looks like it was meant to be there!

Here's the seat in a 1700 Serenity. Makes for a giant rear deck!

Have been thinking about building one of these for my 680c for the occasional cruise around the lake with the family / friends. Would be nice if there was an aftermarket option out there.

I designed and cut the wood for mine and had an upholstery shop in Shakopee do the install. cost about $500 but has been totally worth it in making that area safer for both fishing and boating with the kids.

i would like to buy one of these for my boat. The seat would need to be 54" or less so that it could flip down in my boat. Anyone kow where I could buy one?

What I have not seen - and would be perfect IMO is:

A fold down casting platform with a boat seat mounted - but then individual flip up seats on either side of the seat post.

Think about it - the back person is fishing on the seat post...then you decide to motor up the lake 10 minutes to another spot, then later on another, etc.... most of us travel to multiple spots all day long. With the seat bench/casting platforms that I see out there, each time you want to move, you have to take the seat post off, mount it somewhere else in the cockpit, and/or flip the bench up. Then get to your destination, flip the bench back down, then pull the seat out of the cockpit base and back on the casting platform, repeatedly throughout the day. Gets old especially if you have seat posts that are stubborn to remove (aren't they all?).

Best option IMO would be to leave the bench down, leave the seat on the post....and then flip up an individual seat while the bench is down. This is not for a 45 minute ride across LOTW, but for the 5-15 minute location change without having to mess with removing the seat post and bench each time.

The recently discontinued Lund Predator kind of had this with individual flip up seats, but the casting deck itself was kind of small. Anyone know any options like this out there? Seems like a no-brainer to me but not sure it exists...

My other thought is the ESOX casting deck option - could this be modified to have the individual flip up seats on either side of the casting deck seat post?

That is a good idea Smalljaw.
That got me thinking about just building individual seats instead of the whole bench.
