We all have a favorite bait. How many muskies caught does it take to change your favorite bait choice?

I agreee with Treats, it all depends on how "BIG", could only take one fish.:)

One fish for me too. If it were bass or just about any other species, it would take alot more than that. With muskies, you don't catch as many, so it doesn't take many fish to become a "super" lure. My 2 super lures, have about 15 fish each and maybe 2 or 3 others that have more than 5.

I have LOTS of 'favorite' lures, one for each pattern. If one of a style or brand seems to produce better than others, it becomes my 'favorite', as in my favorite Suick, my favorite Undertaker, my favorite Slammer, etc.

shhhhhhhhbbbbzzzzzz, I've got a bite.

Just one bait if it catches a big fish, or otherwise provides a memorable experience.

A favorite "confidence bait" catches lots of fish. Ah, my sweet death wobblin' Suick!

"FirePike" hand made by my brother-in-law. Of the 3 I've caught so far, it's caught my biggest...and I'm sure it'll catch a few more. So, the memory/sentimental factor is a big part of the equation for me too.

No fish required!! Even if a certain bait never catches a fish, I'll still consider the bait me favorite. I have about 3 that I really think are neat; the way they look in and out of the water, they way they seem to just lay there in the bottom of the boat looking up at me...it makes no difference. Don't ask me why, they are just favorites, and I can live w/ that. I have found over the years that trying to analyze everything I do, say, or think only leads to more analyzation, which in turn leads to wasted time that could be better spent actually enjoying myself; therefore I think not about the intricacies of certain aspects of things, allowing me to remain basically neutral in me thought patterns. On occasion I will delve into the deeper side of things and peek over the edge, but for the most part prefer to point in a straight direction. I imagine that all of us have favorites in all things, and all of us have things that are not so favorite; I have as of yet to finish watching the movie HEIDI, to see if she reaches the peak...
