Location: north central wisconsin | Black Label Societies new album(Zakk Wylde) just came out. WOW.....WOW!!!!!!!!!! i've loved Zakks music since he started playing with Ozzy in the late 80's(he wrote all of ozzies famous albums), and even more so when he went solo in mid 90's(though he still writes and plays on all Ozz's stuff). His new album(Blessed Hellride) is in my opinion(and many other metalheads, including members of bands such as Mettalica, Sabboth, and the concensus among most metal fraternities) the finest metal album of all time!! This is saying quite a bit in looking at what it is up against in the history of rock and roll. in these times of crap metal(so much of it out there that it is tough to wade through it all), Zakk shines, and proves there is still life in guitar music. He is far and away(there is not another guitarist alive that will deny it) the finest to ever pick a Les Paul. Many of the song titles may scare some, and the album title may too, but he is a religious man that just likes to rock!!!
If you like to head bang all the way to the landing(like I do), pick up this album and play track 4 right away(unbeleivable how that man can play). You'll catch more fish, I promise. There are 4 or 5 acoustic tunes on it too. he also has an acoustic album(for those who like great guitar but not so heavy) that my fiance just loves(one of our wedding songs comes from it).
Just thought I'd share something other than my favorite glide bait, or what I thought about the world records, etc....
