| Every year we put this post up and find we need to do it again this year.
Georges children's tackle shop at the MInn muskie expo if you don't know is a free workshop for kids of all ages to make their own baits and bottom line "have fun"
The turnout for this has been fantastic!! Kids that attend must go home and show all the other kids in the neighborhood or at school and bring them the next year and every year.
What they do
Kids will.be making bucktails with all the best components hair, flashaboo blades of all sizes, tying, bending wire, painting blades etc.
Crankbaits-blank primerd Crankbaits that kids can paint in any color they want.
Soft plastics- special paint pens will let kids do some cool graffiti on different plastic baits.
Of course the kids will get to take em all home and have the excitement of catching something on them.
What do you need or need to.know????
Nothing,,,if you have experience making baits great. If you don't know a thing the staff with years of experience can show you how to completely tie a bucktails in a few tries and also the other bait type's.
The workshop has all the current tackle making state of the art tools and materials
This is one fun event kids imaginations run wild with the color combos only kids could come up with. You will enjoy yourself, learn a new skill you can enjoy and most importantly fuel kids enthusiasm for fishing.
Volunteers are much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are interested in doing any time on any of the three days please call

Location: Twin Cities, MN | I have been doing this for a number of years now, and it is alot of fun.
You get a lot of smiles and thank you's from the kids which are well worth the effort.
We always have guys stop by and ask how to make their own bucktails. This is a great opportunity to learn how it is done and help encourage interest in fishing with the next generation.
