Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland | I saw the question about charging a 24 volt system. I just switched over to a 24 volt system myself and am considering an onboard system. The batteries that I have are hooked with positive to negative which I believe is correct. So far I have had to charge the batteries individually. If I purchase an onboard charger, does this mean that I can just hook up to one battery and it will charge both without having to unhook both batteries? |

| Kid, you would need to get a 2-bank charger. One bank for each battery, it comes with 2 sets of leads. Connect one set of lead to the first battery, and the other set to the second battery. Piece of cake, and they work great. |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | Do your homework before buying. Not all chargers put out the same power. The cheaper models will require much more time to put a full charge in yoru batteries which could suck when you only have 8 or so hours between getting out. Also, if you are fishing smaller lakes which don't require you to run long distances between spots which is what it takes to charge your battery with the alternator, you may want to flip for the extra couple bucks and get a 3-bank charger so you can hook up your cranking battery too. |
