| Just bought one at a sportsman's show. I got the 9 ft XH model rated to 4-12 oz. Anyone have any feedback about the quality of the rod? Any complaints?
Also...I bought it because I got a great deal on it (or so I convinced myself)...without having a reel to put on it. So what reel would you guys put on it? I'm open to ideas for set up.

Location: MN | There have been a couple threads on this rod the last couple weeks with not a lot of feedback. I don't think too many have used this particular rod yet. Seems like a pretty decent rod, looks good and neat copper color, though handle seems a little short. |

The rear handle seems short? I didnt think that was the case from what I have seen. Im looking into buying one of these rods. They look nice.
Any insight on how long the rear handle is? |

Location: MN | Yes, the rear. It seems similar to St Croix but I've always felt those were on the short side too. I'm more used to TI which are perhaps on the longer side. I'll try to get some comparison lengths up |

| Measures a little over 14 inches. Seems long enough to me. Wouldn't that mean the rod itself is longer therefore giving more leverage for the cast? Maybe I'm wrong.
Will the Komodo or Curado throw baits like shadzillas well with this rod? |

Location: deephaven mn | interesting point when comparing rod length. true length should be measured from reel seat. I have compared different models and a rod with a shorter overall maybe the same length from reel seat to tip |
