Good afternoon,
I have just purchased a Minn Kota Terrova 55lb i-Pilot that I plan on rigging with the MKR-18 Plug & Receptable and the MKR-19 60 amp Circuit Breaker. The batteries (that will be plugged in parallel) and the TM will be within 5 feet, although, I think that with all the rigging and wiring, it might be in total a bit longer than that, but definitly not longer than 10 feet.

From what I have read on Minn Kota Sizing Table*1, my 55lb Terrova will draw a Max Amp amount of 50, so the 60 amp Circuit Breaker is going to be a good fit, even at max power. Also, since I will be using longer than 5 feet of wire extention lenght, I should use a 6 AWG conductor gauge.

Considering what I have just said and hoping that this is all right (please let me know if not), what else do I need to buy before getting myself ready to install and assemble all of these parts together. I would very much love not having to go back to the store on multiple occasions and be able to set everything on the first try (''yeah right, good luck with that''....... I know). Please note that I am not an electrician, all I have are regular tools, nothing electric specific. I presume that the first thing on my ''extra'' shopping list should be electric tape and Wire Extentions of 6 gauge. Anything else?

MKR18A is an adapter for 6 gauge wire for the receptacle. Connectors for wire ends. A way to crimp wires end on 6 gauge wire.

Ok thanks. I have found out that I don't need 5' extention so I will stay in the 8AWG cable extention. What comes out of the TM is 10AWG anyway. That way, I also won't need the extra MKR18A 6AWg adapter.

Most cheap crimping tool are from 10-22AWG... anything doing lower like 6 and 8 AWG seems to be 3 times the price..

I found solder-on ring terminal battery cable connectors at Lowe's. They even had 8- and 6-gauge, as well as smaller ones. Like this:

Use a propane torch for heating when soldering.
