Steve- What was your retreive on the beat up "DOG TURD" surface lure? very slow or? Did the tail have to fully rotate? Best conditions for it? applications etc? thanks, Howie

Slow and steady, and the rougher the better. I do well on calm days too, but they seem to just eat the thing when there is a good chop. I like the tail to rotate twice one direction, pop, and twice the other. Takes some tuning. I like the bait for any waters, but she shines on clear water. Smitty has a great model, give him a yell.

Here are the ones I have in my box and on the mantle, all old old baits. There is a Dog Turd, an original Snodlow ( the goldish one), a Tufftail,  and a Large Turd.

Steve,

I'm not up on the full gamut of musky lures so all these funny names don't mean much to me......yet. But I noticed that your lures resemble a bait made by Poe's called the "PoeTail". Have any experience with one? My son bought one at Muskego point a couple of years ago out of the discount box and it looks like it could produce. It doesn't have the trailer hook though. Thanks!
