Location: Scandia MN | Most of the islands are privately property. There are some with public campgrounds. Get a good map and be there early. |

Location: MN | There are some camping spots scattered across the lake, some are located on islands. I can think of 7-8 on the east side, some are used for the houseboats and some for general use. I don't know who manages the sites but they exist. |

Location: Lino Lakes, MN | There are a number of U.S. Forest Service campsites on the lake. Most in the narrows around Gold Island just East of Oak Narrows. The North Side of Pine Island has a few sites also. I believe the Fishing Hotspots Map mark most locations or you could check the Sportsmans Club of Lake Vermilion for webpage for some more info.
The SCLV maintains a series of Shore Lunch Only sites.
They should have fire rings, and a latrine if they are the U.S. Forest Service Campgrounds.
Good Luck

| There are several Minnesota Dept of Natural Resourses sites in and around Smarts bay. The USDA Forest Service also has a few sites North and East of Pine Island. First come first serve basis for both. All are free. One East of Pine Island and three on the north side of pine. The Sportsmens Club of Lake Vermilion in conjunction with the MNDNR and USDA Forest Service has a handful of day use Picnic sites only scattered around the lake. No camping at these. Houseboats usually are parked at some of the Forest Service sites. |
