Posts: 4266 | I do all of my work out in the garage, and this year has been the worst for as long as I can remember. I have a heater keeping my painting room warm, but my 1950 garage is colder that my refridgerator! I have 30 pieces of Redwood in my dining room laying on a drawing board with outlines of "lures to be". It used to be no problem, but every year the pain is worse, and moving is worse and the wood work will have to wait. I have a bad feeling that this is going to be the last year of making lures. With surgery on the horizon, and living alone, I can't see it getting any better. How many of you have taken a kick in the ass by this winter? I've had enough!

Posts: 20219 Location: oswego, il | Coldest February in 140 years. Looks like warm weather coming the week after this one. The big sport, car and custom car shows are held the first 3 months of the year, helps pass the time.

Posts: 182 | Winter really is wearing thin. This winter hasn't been as brutal here, but it started darn early. Never saw the end of the muskie season on the water. The only worse winter is the year I turned 12 just after the civil war. It was tough finding enough cow chips to heat homestead but at least the house smelled good.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'll take this year's cold over last year's over-abundance of snow! The piles at the end of my driveway were about 9 feet deep. :o I don't own a snow blower.

Posts: 358 | Rough winter for me ! Frostbite on three finger tips and both nostrils. The feeling came back to one finger tip, time will tell on other two finger tips, nostrils healing slowly. A lot of snow and coldest temps. I can remember, lowest actual temp. -32. Still have over 3 foot of snow on ground here, got close to 1 foot since I got back Saturday night. Parking the Western Star for good in less than a month, no more winters on the road !
