| I bought a Fig Rig 8' rod when the 8's were first getting popular.....any idea when they quit making them?.....I remember guys having issues with them .....never got a fish on mine.....would you take it out of your rotation?......Thanks |

Location: Minnesota | If you have not had any problems keep using it. Unless your upgrading it then keep it as a back up rod. |

Location: mercer wi | Their carbon classics were fantastic rods. Had a 8' mh n 7'6" h. Kind of wish I didnt gove them away to friends. Thought they were better then the tooth tamer series. |

| I bought a bunch of the Tooth Tamer's back in the day. I still have the 8'0 MH, 7'6" MH and the 6'10" Jerkbait rod in my arsenal, and a bonus 7'6" I won in a raffle that's still in the wrapper. What I remember hearing is that there was a batch that were outsourced and they wrapped the guides too tight. First time under any kind of load, even casting, *POW* Add in a lifetime warranty and you can see why they went out of business.
In talking to a few rod builders, the consensus was that if the rod is going to break due to some sort of defect, it's going to break pretty much right away, first time you cast a large lure, first fish, that sort of thing. So far, I have yet to break one aside from one that got slammed in a door.

| The one I have say it's a Fig Rig Extreme......seemed to me they had rods with a high-end and low-end price points.....Am I remembering this correctly?......I think mine was the low-end......thought it was $90-$100.....does that sound about right.....what ever happened to them.....did they continue under a new brand?.....thanks |

| There were two lines:
The "Extreme" series, which were around $89, and the higher end "Tooth Tamer" series which ran $159.
I believe Kevin sold the "Tooth Tamer" name to the folks who now make Tooth Tamer rods.
