If you are coming to the Expo from the North or the South, do not come through downtown Milwaukee. There is a stretch of construction west of downtown and right near the State Fair Grounds that is a certain 20-30 minute stop and go pain in the rear. From the South, take the bypass and come in from the West. From the North, take 45, not 43 and you'll save yourself a headache.

The way to deal with this coming from downtown (from the East) is to exit I-94 at 70th Street, proceed South to Greenfield Ave., then West to Southern entrance to the fairgrounds. Be prepared to stop at a little white booth and get clipped for $5.00 parking. If it's Friday, you can call Midwest-Forman Recycling and ask for my dispatcher. He's been fighting this construction all day every day and can tell you where all the delays are at the moment. Just say you're one of Marty's fishing buddies.

I take 894 to Greenfield or National ave. You always wonder if your driving by Dalhmer's grandmas house getting to state fair park.
