Location: Vilas County, WI | I just replaced the bag on my net - I went with the Frabill 4666 to replace the original bag on my Stowmaster TS116Y. The bag came tightly packaged from shipment.
Anyhow, since this bag is a heavier webbing with a coating, it's pretty stiff. I've never owned a net like this - is this common? And what can I do to break it in so it's a little more flexible?
Besides, catching muskies... I know that's the best way to break it in....

Location: Hayward, WI | When I got my Frabill years ago it was pretty collapsed too. I stuffed a good size cooler into it. It winter here now, but setting it out in the sun will make it more pliable.
Otherwise, it's loosened up through use. |

Location: South shore of Lake St. Clair | I replaced mine with a Frabill 4666 last spring. No need to worry, like curleytail mentioned above, it will loosen up with use.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Had to get a new one this fall (I don't want to talk about why) and to soften up the new net bag a little I walked around on it while organizing the boat, extended phone calls, watching football, etc. it made a big difference. |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | I have found the best way to break in a stiff net is what I always do, although not lately, put a slimey Muskie in it for awhile . Bag never seems stiff after that. |

Location: Weyauwega Wi. | I replaced my Stowmaster with the same replacement bag. I put it over the top of a 55 gallon drum. I did it this time of year and forgot about it til the opener. It worked great. |
