Location: NE PA | Hey all,
The cold has settled in here in PA. With that I've started planning for a summer Muskie trip. The kawarthas have recently piqued my interest due to their close proximity to me (6-7hrs) and from what I have gathered a pretty good numbers fishery. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on their favorite of these lakes and rental places to go with it. I was looking at katchewanooka, but am open to other suggestions. Pm me if you like. Location: Eastern Ontario | I would look at Pigeon part of the TRI LAKES ( Pigeon Buckhorn & Chemong) 3 lakes that can be fished without going through locks. Scotsmans Point Lodge on Buckhorn used us well and is home to a couple of Muskies Canada outings every year. Lots of small to medium muskies right outside the door. I have friends that live on Buckhorn that take the short boat ride and fish Pigeon because they feel the fish run bigger. If I was going I think i would give Balsam a shot just because a friend caught a 51 inch tiger. I have 50 inch plus barred spotted and clear muskies but have never caught a tiger over 34 inches so that's my quest. |

Location: NE PA | strictly a muskie trip, not a family vaca. It is between here and LSC. I know the two are completely different. We fished LSC last year and had a lot of fun, but fishing was tough for us a few days with the weather/big waves. Figured that kawarthas would be a little more forgiving in that respect.

| Scotsman Point is a great recommendation. Pigeon and Buckhorn are your best bets. They r reliable muskie spots and u won't have to drink and play cards all day due to wind. You can also trailer to Balsam, Cameron and Sturgeon easily for some good muskie fishing just for a change. But there's no need. Pigeon is a Great Lake to fish muskies.

Location: Eastern Ontario | Sept fishing is usually good, the kids are in school so the tube tuggers are gone, and rates are probably a little better and you don't have to wait till 10 o'clock for last light.
Before i retired i always took the second week in june the 2nd week in july and the month of sept for vacation |
