Posts: 791 Location: WI | There is chartreuse coach dog? Chartreuse with black dots. As a painter I would say the main reason is they would sell very few. After ten years of making my own baits and doing thousands of repaints I have never done one!? Remember the lure catches the fish. The paint catches the fisherman.

My buddy Todd had one of your old red head originals that he took some permanent markers to after the paint wore off. After he used the markers it looked like the Mexico flag. We renamed it the " Chimichanga". The markers eventually wore off so I took some chartreuse Spike It & dyed the whole bait for him. Prior to that he had never caught a musky on it in 4 years. The first day he used it after dying it chartreuse he caught 3 muskies on it.

Never done pure chartreuse, but plenty of clown and lemonhead ones.

Posts: 306 | There's a full chartreuse bucktail at the bottom of Cedar Lake near Hatfield Bay, if you can find it. It's been in there for a couple years, so it might need some refurbishing.
